Preliminary Decision for MTA Crenshaw-Prairie Line

Published by admin under Uncategorized, transportation

Between March 20-25, the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) held four public meetings at various locations within the Crenshaw-Prairie Transit Corridor Study Area. They updated the public on their preliminary decision based upon feedback and comments during the scoping period in October 2007.

The MTA has proposed to use Light Rail Transit (LRT) technology on a preferred route from Aviation Blvd along the Harbor Subdivision RR and connecting north along Crenshaw Blvd to Exposition Blvd where it will meet with the Expo Line. Further studies will examine potential connections along Wilshire Blvd and other alternative routes through Inglewood.

To find out more on the decision, you can read several published articles or visit the MTA website.
