Welcome to the Crenshaw Vision & Conceptual Plan Site

Published by admin at 5:39 pm under Uncategorized

Working with the community, decision-makers, CRA/LA and other City of Los Angeles departments and agencies, we will work to facilitate a broad range of dialogue, ideas and discussion that leads to a vision and concept plan for Crenshaw Boulevard between the I-10 Freeway to the north and Martin Luther King Boulevard to the south.

Our goal is to work with the community to create a concept plan that catalyzes action by individuals, city departments and decision-makers to further ensure a great future for Crenshaw Boulevard and surrounding neighborhoods. Key to this effort will be an examination of the opportunities created by the introduction of a new light rail station stop at the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard with Exposition Boulevard.

During the course of developing the concept plan we will explore urban design, streetscape, traffic mitigation, development, identity and economic and real estate development concepts, ideas and opportunities and seek to develop an innovative plan that serves to retain and nurture the communities that are shaping the Crenshaw District’s present and future.

Please contribute your ideas and concepts to this website and to this process to help shape the outcomes. We look forward to working and creating a Crenshaw Vision and Concept Plan with all of you!

I am very much looking forward to using this web site as a forum to solicit ideas, exchange views, post information and facilitate discussion on how all of us can plan for an innovative future for the Crenshaw corridor. Over the coming weeks Olivia and I will work to make this site more useable and accessible. In the meantime if there is something you want to post or idea you want to suggest or image you want everyone to see, please contact Olivia and we will work to get your idea before all of us.
